Principle and Application of Total Zinc Analyzer
Zinc is a widely distributed metal element in nature, which mainly exists in the state of zinc sulfide and zinc oxide. Zinc itself is not soluble in water, but zinc salts such as zinc chloride, zinc sulfate, zinc nitrate, etc., are easily soluble in water. Zinc carbonate and zinc oxide are insoluble in water. A large amount of zinc compounds is found in the wastewater discharged from mining sites, mineral processing plants, alloy plants, metallurgical complexes, machine factories, galvanizing plants, instrumentation plants, organic synthesis plants and paper mills. Zinc is many times more toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms than to humans and warm-blooded animals.
Principle: after the zinc in the water sample is digested and oxidized, the zinc and the zinc reagent form a stable complex in the buffer solution. The absorbance of the complex is proportional to the content of zinc in the water sample, the content of total zinc in water sample was obtained.
