Principle and application of hexavalent chromium Analyzer
Chromium is one of the essential micronutrients of living things. The toxicity of chromium is related to its valence state. It is generally believed that the toxicity of hexavalent chromium is 100 times higher than that of trivalent chromium. Therefore, hexavalent chromium has been defined as one of the indicators of total quantity control in China.
Principle: under the condition of high temperature, oxidant oxidizes the chromium compound in the water sample to hexavalent chromium. In acid medium, hexavalent chromium reacts with chromogenic agent to form a purple-red complex. The absorbance of the complex is proportional to the chromium content in the water sample, the content of total chromium in water sample was obtained.
The main application scenarios are the monitoring of enterprise rainwater and sewage, the monitoring of total copper content in municipal pipe network, pumping station, groundwater, river water, lake water and sea water.
